Dr. Micaela Hayes recently joined the staff of University Health Services (UHS), Penn State's student health service at the University Park campus. As one of 13 University physicians at UHS, Hayes will provide medical care to students within clinical services. Every UHS patient is assigned to a health care team in order to provide continuity of care and establish a relationship with a primary care provider.
Evan Pattishall, clinical director, welcomes the expertise Hayes brings to UHS.
"Hayes' training in internal medicine provides a great addition to our clinical services," Pattishall said.
A graduate of the University of Connecticut, Hayes is board eligible in general internal medicine. Prior to joining Penn State, Hayes served as a physician with Brown University at Rhode Island Hospital and The Miriam Hospital in Providence, Rhode Island.
