Pollock computer lab closed for electrical repairs

Students, faculty and staff will need to use alternative locations until further notice

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. -- The computer lab in Pollock Building is closed until further notice due to safety concerns with electrical malfunctions under the lab’s floor. The Testing Center on the first floor of Pollock Building will remain open.

The lab is being closed as a precaution and to ensure the safety of Penn State students, faculty and staff. The electrical problem has been determined to be the cause of a fire that occurred in the lab earlier this month; no one was hurt.

Students, faculty and staff can still use any of the other computer labs on campus, including those in Beaver, Boucke, Findlay and Redifer buildings. These labs will be able to meet user needs while Pollock is closed.
