UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Penn State’s annual Prisoners of War/Missing in Action Remembrance Ceremony on Sept. 15 at University Park will include a 21-gun salute performed by members of the American Legion Three Round Volley on the Old Main lawn.

The vigil will begin at 5 p.m., with the 21-gun salute occurring shortly thereafter. Members of the Penn State community are reminded to not be alarmed at the sound of the salute being performed.

The annual event, which coincides with National POW/MIA Day, also will feature speakers, a missing person table ceremony, and performances by the Wild Blood Yonders, the Penn State Air Force Reserve Officers' Training Corps' a cappella group.
