UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Registered Dietitian Katy Petrosky has joined Penn State’s Culinary Support Services team.

In her position with the Registered Dietitian’s Office, Petrosky will provide nutritional and wellness education and support for all of Penn State Residential Dining.

A 2006 Penn State alumna, she most recently served as director of Food and Nutrition Services and Environmental Services for J.C. Blair Memorial Hospital in Huntingdon, Pennsylvania.

“So much has changed at Penn State since I was a student when it comes to dining and food options,” Petrosky said. “I’m looking forward to helping students at all Penn State campuses navigate their food choices so they can have a satisfying dining experience at Penn State, no matter what their dietary restrictions or preferences might be.”

Petrosky added that she welcomes the opportunity to have a positive impact on students and to support Housing and Food Services staff.

“I see opportunities to make our operations safer for students with food allergies, and more inclusive for students who have specific food preferences,” she said. “I’m excited to work with managers, chefs and students toward our common goal of student safety and satisfaction.”
