UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — The Sbarro location in the HUB-Robeson Center at Penn State's University Park campus is currently closed for renovations and will reopen for the fall 2019 semester with an updated look and design.

“It will be a dramatic change,” said David Gingher, director of Campus Retail Dining. “Customers will notice clean lines and a modern look, which will blend in nicely with the other areas in the HUB that have been renovated. It will have the feel of a real Italian eatery.”

Changes to the Sbarro menu also are in the works and will include wings, a new hot sandwich menu, new Italian entrees, a wider variety of fresh salads, and an expanded dessert selection. Traditional favorites like pizza, ziti and meatballs aren’t going anywhere, however.

The new Sbarro will be a cashless operation, accepting all major credit cards, LionCash+, and meal plan dining dollars.
