Science advocacy group ‘WE ARE for Science’ to meet Jan. 31

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — WE ARE for Science, a coalition that formed post-election to advocate for change around science inclusion, outreach and policy, will hold its first all-hands meeting of the semester at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 31, in 22 Deike Building at University Park.

At this meeting, the group will vote on officers, discuss the development of a logo, and update the coalition on three working groups focused on diversity and inclusion, outreach, and policy.

The meeting is open to all faculty, staff, graduate and undergraduate students, postdocs, and community members with an interest in keeping science in policy, promoting diversity and inclusion in science, and advocating for communication and outreach to the public about science.
