UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — West College Avenue — state Route 26 — between Atherton and Barnard streets in State College will be closed from March 27 to April 2 to all vehicle and pedestrian traffic.

The state route closure has been approved by PennDOT so that Landmark Construction can safely remove and disassemble the cranes used in the construction of the Metropolitan building project.

Work zone detour signs will be in place to direct traffic around the area.

Due to the work, traffic volumes may be heavier than normal to accommodate this road closure. Travelers should allow for additional time to reach their destinations safely.

Additional questions may be directed the State College Borough Public Works department at 814-234-7135 or 814-234-7140.
