As part of our regular "We Are!" feature, we recognize four Penn Staters who have gone above and beyond what's asked of them in their work at the University. Do you know someone who deserves a shout-out? If you do, consider taking a minute to nominate that person by filling out a short online form.

This week, we'd like say thank you on behalf of the entire University community to:

Galen Chelko of the Office of Student Activities, whose nominator wrote: "Galen is always willing to go above and beyond to assist students in any way needed. She is the ultimate team player who is always willing to lend a hand!"

Yesenia Figueroa-Lifschitz of Penn State New Kensington, whose nominator wrote: "I believe Yesenia is an exemplar of professionalism and responsiveness. Her organizational skills and attention to detail are legendary. She does an amazing job training and supervising students who work here get great professional customer service experience. She always goes the extra mile!"

Casey Lang of Penn State New Kensington, whose two nominators wrote: "I admire Casey's positive attitude and her strong work ethic. She is a true leader, and did a great job stepping up as the interim director this summer!" and "Over the summer Casey Lang handled the responsibilities of the Director of Admissions seamlessly. She builds trusting relationships by always following-through and handles prospective students with tact and grace."

Kristin Vitacco of Penn State Hazleton, whose nominator wrote: "Kristin has done an amazing job of stepping beyond her job responsibilities to get involved in committee work that benefits her department, division, and campus while maintaining above-average performance in her daily residence life work. As her supervisor, I'm incredibly proud of her!"

Thank you Galen, Yesenia, Casey and Kristin — and to everyone who helps make Penn State such an incredible community. We Are!
