UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Voting for the 2021 Penn State Class Gift is now open for all Penn State seniors to cast their ballots. A tradition born in 1861, choosing a class gift gives students the opportunity to leave a lasting legacy and help shape the University experience for future Penn Staters.

Voting starts Friday, Oct. 30, and runs for two weeks, through Friday, Nov. 13.

Seniors can vote by texting “ClassGift2021” to 41444 or by visiting this link. Students graduating in May, August or December of 2021 are eligible to vote.

Seniors may select one of the following two nominations on the ballot:

Support for Complete Penn State

Run by the Student Success Center, the Complete Penn State program provides support to students who’ve encountered financial or personal hardship that, within the last two semesters of their associate or bachelor's degree, threatens to end their academic journey. Complete Penn State offers a variety of services — including re-enrollment support, mentoring, and scholarship assistance — designed to keep students on track to completing their degree and achieving their academic and personal goals.

Student Access and Equity Fund

The creation of the Student Access and Equity Fund, or SAEF, will be designed to advance diversity, equity and inclusion within the broad student community. A collaborative effort between Student Affairs, Educational Equity, and other University programs that support equity and inclusion, this fund will provide financial aid to students from underrepresented communities facing unexpected financial need or in need of help affording educational expenses not covered through financial aid. If the endowment minimum is not met, funds raised will be awarded as one-time contributions for the same purpose.
