UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — A respected diversity and inclusion advocate and leader of cultural change for a company that serves more than 75 million consumers every day around the world will present a free public lecture and participate in a question-and-answer session Dec. 1 at Penn State.
Rohini Anand, senior vice president of corporate responsibility and chief diversity officer for Sodexo, will present “Diversity is Good for Business” at 11:15 a.m. on Dec. 1 in Foster Auditorium of Paterno Library.
Anand is responsible for the strategic direction, implementation and alignment of Sodexo’s integrated global diversity and inclusion initiatives, as well as the company’s corporate social responsibility and wellness strategies. Sodexo, based in Gaithersburg, Maryland, is the 19th largest employer in the world with 425,000 employees. The company delivers integrated facilities management, food service operations and recognition programs in 80 countries.
Under Anand’s leadership, Sodexo ranked in the top 10 for nine consecutive years in the DiversityInc business index of Top Companies for Diversity and Inclusion.
Anand earned her doctorate from the University of Michigan. She chairs the Catalyst board of advisers and serves on the boards of several organizations, including the Gay, Lesbian & Straight Education Network, Community Wealth Partners, the National Organization for Disabilities and Sodexo’s Stop Hunger Foundation. She also serves on the Charter Communications External Diversity and Inclusion Council.
