UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — The Penn State community is invited to the 2021 Student Engagement Expo, with speakers and presentations scheduled for three days early in the spring semester and culminating in a keynote talk from Alex Sheen on March 3.
The event from the Student Engagement Network will be an opportunity for students, faculty, staff, alumni and community members to learn more about the impact of student engagement.
The first session on Feb. 17 will feature undergraduate student presenters and an undergraduate panel. Welcome and introductions will begin at 5. p.m., with lightning talks to follow until about 5:30 p.m. The remaining half hour will conclude with a panel discussion and closing remarks. The session from 5 to 6 p.m. on Feb. 24 will feature a panel of graduate students, who will share their perspective and showcase their education journey for undergraduates seeking direction and growth in their post-graduation plans. A finalized list of panelists will be released closer to the event.
The keynote presentation at 5 p.m. on March 3 will feature Alex Sheen, a five-time TEDx Talk speaker who garnered national media attention from the TODAY Show, Good Morning America, Steve Harvey Show, CNN, Fox News and other programs.
