NEW KENSINGTON, Pa. — Prospective students considering Penn State New Kensington for their college careers can learn more about the University and campus at the upcoming Spend a Summer Day Open House at 9 a.m. Saturday, June 23, at the New Kensington campus.
Attendees will meet staff and current students while learning more about admissions, financial aid and student life. Campus tours and a free brunch will be provided.
Parents and guardians of prospective students have a chance to attend a special Parent Information Night at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 1. Staff members of the Penn State New Kensington Office of Admissions and Student Aid will go over information about the transition from high school to college, standardized tests (SAT and ACT), the college application process, financial aid and the benefits of a Penn State education.
For those unable to attend the June open house event, there will be a second opportunity at the Spend a Summer Evening Open House at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 9. Tours and refreshments will be provided.
Prospective students who attend any of the admissions events will receive a $65 application fee waiver to apply to Penn State.
