UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — April 9-13 is Sexual Violence Awareness and Prevention Week, and Stand for State will be providing a bystander intervention training for students on interrupting sexual and relationship violence. The training will be held from 4-7 p.m. on Wednesday, April 11, in 233A HUB-Robeson Center at University Park.
This is an interactive training in which participants will share obstacles to intervening and practice realistic strategies for overcoming those obstacles to interrupt harmful behaviors. The training will include exploring barriers to speaking up, using scenarios to try out intervention strategies, and sharing personal connections to the issue of sexual and relationship violence.
