UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — The Student Farm at Penn State recently announced its second offering of a Campus Supported Agriculture (CSA) program to the Penn State community. The CSA model allows faculty, staff and students to purchase seasonal produce directly from the Student Farm. Members of the program will receive a weekly assortment of vegetables, herbs and fruit grown on the Student Farm by hard-working interns, club members and volunteers.

In addition to improvements from last year, the 2017 season will include a 3-week Maymester season and recipes for cooking the produce. Sign-ups are open now. Quantities are limited to 20 shares for Maymester and 25 shares for summer and fall. They are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

The Student Farm operates the CSA in order to teach students about direct marketing and to connect with the campus community, and is not intended to compete with local CSA programs offered throughout the year.
