University Health Services (UHS) will follow fall operating hours through Friday, Dec. 24. Fall hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Wednesdays. Urgent care (walk-ins only) is available at UHS on Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
UHS will be open from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Labor Day (Monday, Sept 8) for urgent care and pharmacy services. Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) will be closed on Labor Day. The Student Health Center (UHS and CAPS) will be closed Nov. 19, Nov. 24 (Thanksgiving) and Nov. 26. The health center will also be closed Dec. 24 - Jan. 2 for the winter break.
University Health Services provides a telephone advice nurse and ambulance service even when the building is closed. The UHS Telephone Advice Nurse is available for Penn State students 24 hours a day, seven days a week at 814-863-4463. The UHS ambulance service is also available 24/7 for medical emergencies by calling 911.
CAPS hours are Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Students can call 814-863-0395 during those hours to schedule an appointment for a triage initial contact or crisis intervention. CAPS Services are located on the fifth floor of the Student Health Center. After hours and on weekends, students can call the CAN HELP 24 hour crisis line for assistance at (800) 643-5432.
