UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — The Penn State Student Programming Association (SPA) Concerts committee is bringing EDM Producer Cashmere Cat to the University Park campus for a free concert. The concert will be held in the HUB-Robeson Center’s Alumni Hall at 9 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 18.
The show will be a part of the ‘SPA Day’ celebration of the University-affiliated organization in the form of an all-day HUB takeover.
Cashmere Cat is a DJ from Norway who released his debut record in 2017 after working with many top names in the pop, R&B and hip-hop genres, including Ariana Grande and Kanye West. His debut album, "9," features guest appearances from top names in the music industry. He started his music career by creating remixes out of various artist’s music, for example, Lana Del Rey and Drake. These mixes caught the ear of an American producer, Benny Blanco, who encouraged him to come to New York. Since then, he has been recognized for his co-production work on a variety of records, including Britney Spears’ "Just Luv Me" and Ludacris’ "Party Girls." He has received a variety of awards, including Pop Solo Act and Producer of the Year.
The performance is free for all students with a valid Penn State University Park Student Photo ID and is funded by the student-initiated fee.
