Transportation Services announces modified winter break hours, services

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Penn State Transportation Services has announced changes to operations and office hours during the University's winter break.

Parking

Monday, Dec. 19, to Thursday, Dec. 22:

All normal weekday faculty, staff, student, and visitor parking regulations remain in effect. However, due to reduced CATA Loop and Link service, faculty/staff Orange and faculty/staff Commuter permits will be valid at the following faculty/staff parking areas:

  • Eisenhower Deck
  • Lot Red A
  • Orange lots

All other faculty/staff permit holders must park in their designated parking areas, or at one of the Orange or Commuter lots. Evening/weekend permits will remain valid only after 4 p.m. from Monday, Dec. 19, to Thursday, Dec. 22.

Friday, Dec. 23, to Monday, Jan. 2, 2017:

Faculty, staff, and student permit holders may park in all lots normally available to them during evening/weekend hours. Overnight restrictions between 2 and 4 a.m. for the Commuter lots, as well as for student Commuter permit holders, remain in effect, and all reserved parking spaces such as Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), service/delivery, and others will remain reserved.

Visitor parking will be no charge at all four campus parking decks as well as at any campus lots not designated as being reserved 24 hours a day, seven days a week (see lot entrance signs for reserved hours).

Tuesday, Jan. 3, to Friday, Jan. 6:

Saturday, Dec. 31: Reduced service schedule

Sunday, Jan. 1, 2017: No service

Monday, Jan. 2, to Friday, Jan. 6: Reduced service schedule

Saturday, Jan. 7: Regular full service schedule

Shuttle service

Monday, Dec. 12, to Friday, Jan. 6, 2017: No Paratransit Shuttle service

Friday, Dec. 23, to Monday, Jan. 2, 2017: No Campus Shuttle and Hershey Shuttle service

Parking Office hours

Thursday, Dec. 22: Closed noon to 2 p.m.

Friday, Dec. 23, to Monday, Jan. 2, 2017: Closed

Fleet Operations hours

Friday, Dec. 23, to Monday, Jan. 2, 2017: Closed with no vehicle pickup available
