UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — After a two-year hiatus, Penn State Undergraduate Admissions is once again offering the popular in-person "Spend a Summer Day" event at the University Park campus. Spend a Summer Day provides the best opportunity to explore Penn State’s academics, student life and campus communities.

In-person Spend a Summer Day at the University Park campus will take place on July 25, 28, 29, and Aug. 1, allowing prospective students and their guests to discover academic programs, connect with important University resources, interact with current students, advisers and faculty, and explore the beauty of campus. These full-day, open-house events help prepare future classes of Penn Staters to apply to the University, while introducing them to the endless opportunities a Penn State education can provide.

Additionally, virtual Spend a Summer Day will take place on July 27, and will offer the same robust programming, just in a virtual setting. Visit the University's Spend a Summer Day website for more information and to register.

To help make Spend a Summer Day and other summer visits at the University Park campus as impactful as possible for prospective students, the Undergraduate Admissions Office is hiring current students to provide campus tours and share their Penn State pride with visitors. To learn more, visit the summer tour guide job posting online.

As Penn State prepares to welcome prospective students this summer, the University just wrapped up a busy admissions year that saw unprecedented numbers for the Class of 2026. Undergraduate Admissions reviewed over 100,000 applications, hosted hundreds of information sessions, gave tours to thousands of visitors, and continuously communicated with interested students to enroll an outstanding class across Penn State’s 20 undergraduate campuses.

And, to make sure we are as welcoming to future classes as we have been to the Class of 2026, be sure to give a “We Are!” as you see visitors touring campus this summer.
