According to University officials, phone systems have been stabilized on Penn State's University Park, Brandywine and Hazleton campuses, however, work continues to pinpoint the root cause of the problem. Additional updates will be provided as necessary.
“We thank all members of the Penn State community for their patience as engineers, technicians and vendor representatives have worked to resolve the telephone outages at University Park, Brandywine and Hazleton campuses,” said Marcus P. Robinson, spokesperson for the Office of the Vice Provost for Information Technology at Penn State. “While telephone service has been stabilized, IT staff continue to monitor voice systems to fully diagnose and resolve these issues. We will provide additional updates if there are any changes or further disruptions.”

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Penn State's University Park, Brandywine and Hazleton campuses continue to experience intermittent telephone outages affecting both inbound and outbound calls.
Staff members in Telecommunications and Networking Services are working to restore service as soon as possible, and updates will continue to be posted on the ITS Alerts site. Please report any additional issues by emailing the Network Operations Center at noc@psu.edu or calling 814-865-4662.
