University Police cautioning community about spam telephone calls

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Penn State University Police and Public Safety is reporting that numerous people affiliated with Penn State have received spam calls that appear to come from the UPPS dispatch telephone number. Police remind those in our community that at no time will UPPS contact parents of students or anyone else asking for money.

Anyone who receives such a call is encouraged to report it by contacting University Police at 814-863-1111 or visiting police.psu.edu/report-crime
