UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Several new and renovated dining options are now available at the HUB-Robeson Center and at the various dining commons at Penn State's University Park campus.

Starbucks in the HUB-Robeson Center was fully renovated over the summer and nearly doubled in size while incorporating a wide selection of food and beverage options. Starbucks in the HUB is one of two full-size stores on campus, along with the Paterno Library location.

“We feel that the renovations greatly improve the customer experience by having a more efficient queuing line, allowing the line to easily flow and avoid disrupting seating areas and walkways in the HUB,” said Vince Raco, Penn State director of campus retail dining.

Also in the HUB, Cow & Cookie has expanded from a cart to a full-size store that sells offerings from the Penn State Bakery as well as an exclusive dessert, the Quake, which is a combination of Penn State Creamery soft-serve ice cream blended with Penn State Bakery treats. Additionally, Burger King and McAlister’s Deli in the HUB have been renovated to include self-order kiosks.

Elsewhere on campus, Choolaah, an Indian barbecue fast-casual eatery, has opened in the South Food District. The menu will consist of a variety of rice-based “powerbowls” and unique beverages.

“We are excited about welcoming Choolaah to Penn State,” said Jim Meinecke, Penn State director of residential dining. “It will be a quality addition to Residential Dining’s offerings and something unique to the State College area.”
