Join us for Penn State CTSI's next Translational Science Seminar (TSS) on Oct. 23 from noon to 1 p.m., where Dennis Scanlon will present "Assessing the Degree to Which the Evidence Base Informs the Use of Opioid Settlement Funding: Is Translation Happening at the Community Level?"
Scanlon is director of the Center for Health Care and Policy Research and distinguished professor of health policy and administration at Penn State. His research focuses on understanding the role of measurement, incentives, quality improvement, and individual and organizational behavior change for improving important health care outcomes, including clinical quality, patient experience and economic efficiency.
The TSS seminar series presents practical information related to clinical and translational topics, with the goal of exposing participants to contemporary issues and tools that can accelerate the translation of research to benefit human health.
