CTSI BERD Webinar: 'What the Silver Tsunami Means for Rural Health Care' March 24

1:00 PM - 2:00 PM / March 24, 2025

Penn State Clinical and Translational Science Institute has announced its Biostatistics, Epidemiology and Research Design (BERD) Research Methods Seminar Series schedule for the spring 2025 semester. The seminar “What the Silver Tsunami Means for Rural Health Care”  will be held at 1 p.m. March 24.

On average, there are more senior citizens in Pennsylvania (65+ years of age) than individuals under the age of 20. This change in demographic composition has been decades in the making and will affect a wide range of health care needs and services. This presentation will explore how changes in Pennsylvania’s population will affect how health care may be structured to meet the needs of older residents, such as those diagnosed with dementia and related disorders, the availability of care options and more.
