The Penn State Community Health Equity & Engagement in Research (CHEER) team will hold an educational session on June 25 aimed at addressing the power and pitfalls of artificial intelligence (AI) and its intersection with healthcare and research. Guided by experts in the field, this session will present information about AI’s ability to both mitigate and exacerbate health disparities. Content will highlight the downstream impacts on underrepresented populations and how an equitable lens is critical to AI implementation to reduce these unintended consequences.
