Penn State CTSI's Community Health Equity & Engagement in Research (CHEER) team is will offer an educational session to present the Office of Management and Budget’s (OMB) updated Standards for Maintaining, Collecting, and Presenting Federal Data on Race and Ethnicity. The session is aimed at understanding why OMB made these revisions, how the updated race and ethnicity categories impact health care research and data collection, and ways to implement these categories in your professional work. We will be joined by Dawn Corbett, NIH Inclusion Policy Officer within the Office of Extramural Research at the National Institutes of Health and Charleen Hsuan, associate professor of health policy and administration and lead of the Health Policy Impact Core at Penn State CTSI.
