TSS Series: iSMART - Infrastructure for Support, Mentorship and Research Training

12:00 PM - 1:00 PM / August 27, 2024

Penn State Clinical and Translational Science Institute developed the iSMART program to improve infrastructure, support, diversity, and efficiency for research teams conducting human subject research at the College of Medicine and across the University. iSMART goals are to:

  • develop a sustainable and dynamic infrastructure to support research efficiency;

  • provide user-friendly, useful, and meaningful training to supporting ‘on-boarded’ staff; and

  • maintain trained and efficient research teams for centralized research support to aid in project startups and/or pilot projects

The Translational Science Seminar (TSS) Series is held monthly. Each month, a panel of speakers present practical information related to clinical and translational topics, with the goal to expose participants to contemporary issues and tools that can accelerate the translation of research to benefit human health.
