UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Penn State alumnus Morris Taradalsky will be presenting a live online lecture titled “My journey from Penn State through corporate America to entrepreneurism" from 1:35 to 2:50 p.m. on April 2, on Zoom.
Taradalsky is co-founder and chairman of Napa Technology, a company that provides intelligent wine preservation and dispensing technology worldwide. The talk will focus on the highlights of his 50 years of experience as well as insights and lessons that were learned along the way.
Taradalsky graduated from Penn State in 1970 with a bachelor’s degree in mathematics and a minor in physics, and was named a Penn State Alumni fellow in 1994. About 10 years later he co-founded his startup, Napa Technology.
Prior to his work with Napa Technology, Taradalsky served as vice president of engineering and chief technology officer for Brocade Communications and as executive vice president of engineering for Exodus Communications. He also held management positions at Apple Computer Inc., including chief information officer and vice president and general manager, where he introduced Apple’s first line of network servers.
Taradalsky entered the corporate world at IBM Corp., where he had a distinguished 18-year career, including managing IBM’s largest programming laboratory and filing numerous patents. His work with IBM led to him being honored with the IBM Invention Achievement Award.
He currently resides in San Jose, California, where he consults with numerous start-up ventures.
