UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — This week, we recognize five Penn Staters who go above and beyond what's asked of them in their work at the University. Thank you to:
Kathleen Wolfhope, in Human Resources, whose nominator wrote: "When an employee, who required special accommodations, wanted to attend a Center for Workplace Learning training program, Kathleen Wolfhope researched all options and personally made sure the employee's experience was outstanding. This is Kathleen's way -- to be inclusive and attentive to everyone!"
Eileen Hennrikus, at Penn State Hershey, whose nominator wrote: "Eileen Hennrikus is a staff physician in internal medicine. She is very involved in medical education, serving as course co-director, instructor and faculty advisor. It is inspirational to see a physician so dedicated to patient care, encouraging students and enhancing medical education."
Essie Auker, at Penn State Altoona, whose nominator wrote: "Thank you to Essie Auker for all her hard work at Penn State Altoona. She always ensures that our students have everything they need to succeed. She is a great example for our students and for her co-workers. Essie truly exemplifies the spirit of Penn State!"
Christopher Uhl, in the Eberly College of Science, whose nominator wrote: "For more than 20 years, Chris has dedicated himself to developing the entire Penn State community's ecological consciousness. From my own experience and many others, I know he has guided us to be better people."
Beatriz Glick, at Penn State Hazleton, whose nominator wrote: "She is a most pleasant and dedicated teacher. She is very involved in campus service, providing essential skills, a positive attitude and a variety of fine courses to our University."
