"Alumni Updates" highlights career achievements by College of Education alumni.

  • Charles Gibson, who received a master’s degree from the College of Education in 2021, was named the inaugural chief diversity officer for Lees-McRae College.
  • Kristen Joivell, who received a master’s degree in curriculum and instruction from Penn State World Campus in 2012, was announced as one of 117 teachers across the nation who received the Presidential Award for Math and Science. Joivell has been teaching kindergarten for more than 20 years at Juniata Valley Elementary School in Huntingdon County, Pennsylvania
  • A recent episode of Following the Gong, a podcast of the Penn State Schreyer Honors College, featured Stefen Wisniewski, who earned a bachelor of science in secondary education with a focus on English communications with honors from the College of Education in 2010. Wisniewski, a former Penn State football player, recently retired from a 10-year career in the National Football League.
