William A. Gregory, who received a bachelor’s degree in music education from Penn State in 1975, retired as superintendent of the Canton Central School District in Canton, New York. He and his wife, Dawn, live in Lemont, Pennsylvania. While at Penn State, Gregory was involved in Blue Band, Army ROTC and Phi Mu Alpha. The Gregorys’ son, Matthew, is a 2006 Penn State alumnus with a bachelor’s degree in crime, law, and justice; their daughter, Katherine, received a bachelor’s degree in French and international studies from the University in 2012.

The National Association of School Psychologists (NASP) has named Penn State alumna Julia E. Szarko as the 2021 School Psychologist of the Year. NASP’s School Psychologist of the Year is awarded for excellence in the provision of school psychological services by a field-based practitioner and is selected from nominations by states across the country. Szarko is currently a school psychologist in the Central Bucks School District in Doylestown, Pennsylvania. She graduated from the College of Education in 2000 with a doctorate in school psychology.
