— Junghee Choi and Yi Meng, doctoral candidates in the Department of Education Policy Studies (EPS), along with Qiong Zhu, a postdoctoral research associate in Michigan State University’s Education Policy Innovation Collaborative who received her doctorate in higher education from the Penn State College of Education, have a new article, “The Impact of No-Loan Policies on Student Economic Diversity at Public Colleges and Universities” in Research in Higher Education.

Kevin Kinser, professor of education (higher education) and head of the Department of EPS, is quoted in an article, “The Heavy Cost of an Empty Campus,” in the Chronicle of Higher Education.

— David Passmore, distinguished professor of education, emeritus; and Mihee Park, a graduate assistant in the Workforce Education and Development program, have an article, “Elucidating Engineering Ethics Education During the COVID-19 Pandemic Era” in International Journal of Multidisciplinary Perspectives in Higher Education.

Kelly Rosinger, assistant professor of education in the Department of EPS and research associate in the Center for the Study of Higher Education (CSHE), is quoted in an article, “Advocates hope pandemic shift away from requiring SAT and ACT will help diversity,” in The Hechinger Report.

Kai Schafft, professor of education (educational leadership) and rural sociology, along with Sanja Stanić, professor of sociology at the University of Split, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, in Croatia; Renata Horvatek, international internships and research abroad officer for Penn State’s Office of Global Programs, who received a doctorate in educational theory and policy with a dual title in comparative and international education from Penn State; and Annie Maselli, a doctoral candidate in education policy studies, edited a book, “Rural Youth at the Crossroads: Transitional Societies in Central Europe and Beyond,” recently published by Routledge.
