Students, staff and faculty members from Penn State's College of Education share recent research and career achievements.

·      Julia Bryan, professor of education (counselor education), will be honored as an American Counseling Association (ACA) Fellow at the 2022 ACA Conference & Expo from April 7-9 in Atlanta. ACA Fellow status is one of the most prestigious honors in the profession.

·      Janice Byrd, assistant professor of education (counselor education) will receive the 2022 Association for Multicultural Counseling and Development (AMCD) Young Emerging Leader Award at the upcoming ACA Conference & Expo in Atlanta. The AMCD honors a member who has demonstrated a commitment to multicultural counseling and development and the potential for future leadership in the counseling profession.

·      Jim Herbert, professor of education (counselor education and rehabilitation and human services), will receive the Distinguished Career in Rehabilitation Education Award at the National Council on Rehabilitation Education Conference from March 31 to April 2 in San Diego. The award recognizes an individual who has demonstrated significant career achievement in rehabilitation education and celebrates the individual’s lifelong commitment to bettering the lives of persons with disabilities.
