Katerina Bodovski, professor of education (educational theory and policy), is the lead author on a recently published article, “Emotional capital, student’s behavior and educational inequality” in International Studies in Sociology of Education. Her co-authors were three doctoral candidates in the Department of Education Policy Studies, Yeonwoo Lee, Jee Bin Ahn and Hengyu Hu.

—  Janice Byrd, assistant professor of education (counselor education), has a new article, “Black women’s perceptions of K-12 experiences that influenced their preparation for college,” in Journal of College Access.

—  Kelsey Jones-Greer, a doctoral candidate in curriculum and instruction, was honored by Rural Education Special Interest Group (SIG) with the Graduate Student Fellowship and Research Grant for her proposal, "Always Becoming: Teachers Navigating Whiteness and Antiracist Pedagogies in Rural Schools."

—  Paul Morgan, Harry & Marion Eberly Faculty Fellow and professor of education (educational theory and policy), and director of the Center for Educational Disparities Research (CEDR), is featured in a video highlighting work being done at CEDR. The video is currently being broadcast throughout the annual conference of the American Public Health Association (APHA) including in the conference center and convention hotels. Work taking place at Penn State on educational and health disparities is showcased as part of APHA's "Thought Leadership" series.

—  Kelly Rosinger, assistant professor of education (education and public policy) and research associate in the Center for the Study of Higher Education (CSHE), has joined the editorial board of Review of Higher Education (RHE), the official journal of the Association for the Study of Higher Education (ASHE).
