Students, staff and faculty members from Penn State's College of Education share recent research and career achievements.
- Salena Babb, assistant teaching professor of education (special education) is the lead author of a new article, “Two Friends Spending Time Together: The Impact of Video Visual Scene Displays on Peer Social Interaction for Adolescents With Autism Spectrum Disorder” for the journal Language, Speech, and Hearing Services in Schools. David McNaughton, professor of education (special education) is co-author on the paper.
- Royel Johnson, assistant professor of education (higher education and African American studies), was honored with the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign College of Education's Young Alumni Achievement Award. The award recognizes young alumni under 40 years of age who have made outstanding contributions in their fields since graduating from the college. Johnson received a master of education in education policy, organization and leadership from the college in 2011.
- Beverly Lindsay, professor emerita of education, wrote an opinion piece, “Secretary of State Colin Powell and International Affairs and Education: Professional and Personal Reflections” for Diverse Issues in Education.
- David Passmore, distinguished professor emeritus, was interviewed for a story, “Pennsylvania workers were least likely in U.S. to quit their jobs in August” by WESA, an NPR affiliate in Pittsburgh.
