CAPS to hold annual webinar

Penn State Counseling & Psychological Services (CAPS) will host its annual webinar, “The Red Folder: Helping Students In Distress” from 1 to 2 p.m. Sept. 8. The Red Folder initiative is a guide to help faculty, staff, student leaders and others who interact with students to recognize, respond effectively to and refer Penn State students in distress. The webinar is open to anyone in the campus community and will be recorded for future reference and distribution. Register here.

Pennsylvania School Study Council to host Special Education Law Symposium

Pennsylvania School Study Council, in collaboration with Beard Legal Group, will host the Special Education Law Symposium on Sept. 13 at Intermediate Unit 10 Office as well as virtually. The presentation is intended for superintendents, principals, directors of special education or other educators responsible for the delivery of special education services in Pennsylvania. Graduate student welcome reception

The Graduate School at Penn State is hosting a welcome reception for all new and returning graduate students at the University Park campus to celebrate the first day of the fall 2022 semester. The event will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. Monday, Aug. 22, on Chambers Lawn, located outside the Kern Graduate Building. In the event of inclement weather, the celebration will be moved to Alumni Hall in the HUB-Robeson Center. For details, check Penn State News.
