New classifieds website makes apartment hunting easier for students

Penn State’s Off-Campus Student Support office, a unit of Student Affairs, is helping to make the off-campus housing search easier for students with a new classifieds website, Living Off Campus. Students will be able to narrow down housing results with a detail-oriented search section. A Google Maps section will allow students to see how long the walk or bus ride is from campus to a property listing. For more information, visit http://bit.ly/2sQDn5S.

Workshops available to help undergrads get into research

Students looking to learn more about how to become involved in research as undergraduates are encouraged to attend workshops organized by University Libraries and the University Fellowships Office. The workshops cover everything undergraduate students need to know, including how to define research and discover opportunities, research ethics and emotional intelligence, designing an effective research poster, and preparing to present at the Undergraduate Exhibition. If you have an announcement you would like to share with the College of Education, send it via email to edrelations@psu.edu. Submissions must include a contact name and telephone number so that Connections can verify the information.
