Penn State Outreach and Nittany AI Alliance to present distinguished speaker series

Penn State Outreach, in cooperation with Nittany AI Alliance, will present “AI Distinguished Speaker Series: How I Blended Life Experiences with Audacity and Curiosity to Launch My Career in AI” from 6:30 – 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 29, at 102 Marriot Foundation Building (Oak Building) on the University Park Campus. Samantha “Sam” Wheeler, director of alliances for AI at VAST Data, will present a retelling of her unconventional path to AI and offer advice for aspiring technology and cross-domain professionals. Schlow Centre Region Library to host Penn State research series

Schlow Centre Region Library is set to host its next event series “RU Curious?” in partnership with Penn State’s Office of Government and Community Relations, which will offer three community events designed to connect the State College community with Penn State research so that researchers can showcase their work in a variety of fields. The event series kicks off at 4 p.m. Tuesday, April 4, at the Eric J. Barron Innovation Hub, located at 123 S. Burrowes St. in downtown State College. Read more here.

Penn State to host Climate Solutions Symposium in May

Penn State will host the Climate Solutions Symposium on May 22 and 23 at the Penn Stater Hotel and Conference Center. The two-day event will feature plenaries, panel discussions, breakout sessions, an arts and communication session and a poster session, all focused on developing and elevating solutions to climate change. The event is open to the public, and attendance is available in-person or virtually. The cost to attend is $80 for all attendees except students, who can attend at no cost.
