Language tutoring program accepting applicants

RAISE, a program in which Penn State students are paired with English as a Second Language (ESL) students at State College Area High School to tutor them in conversational English skills, is now accepting applicants. For more information, email Luisina Kemanian-Leites at llk156@psu.edu.

ICDS Symposium scheduled for Oct. 6-7

The Penn State Institute for Computational and Data Sciences (ICDS) will host the ICDS Symposium: "The Future of Digital Fairness," a virtual event, on Oct. 6-7. Highlights include two keynote discussions — one focused on equity and data science, one focused on replication of genomic studies — and a poster competition for students, with cash prizes of $500 and $200.
