UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — The College of Education Alumni Office will present the third annual Graduates of the Last Decade (GOLD) Women’s Leadership professional development initiative in July. Created in 2019, the program aims to help alumni at any stage of their careers learn valuable skills and tools for succeeding in their current positions or advancing in their fields.
This year’s webinar series will be held at noon on each Wednesday in July. Presenters and topics include:
— July 7: “Balancing Care, Justice, Responsibility and Conviction: Women, Leadership, Love and the Work of the Soul”: Judy Alston,1996 graduate, and professor and the director of the doctoral program in leadership studies at Ashland University
— July 14: “Entrepreneurship in Education; Leading, Adapting and Ongoing Evolution”: Anne Zummo Malone, 2001 graduate, and chief of growth and impact for AppleTree Institute for Education Innovation
— July 21: “Financial Literacy for Women”: Linda Salavarria, education program associate of Penn State’s Sokolov-Miller Family Financial & Life Skills Center
— July 28: “Keynote: Empowerment & Authenticity: It Starts with Uncomfortability”: Christina Parle, 2016 graduate, and equity, inclusion and diversity speaker, consultant and instructional designer at Social Responsibility Speaks LLC
