UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Students, staff and faculty members from Penn State's College of Education share recent research and career achievements.
- Katerina Bodovski, professor of education (educational theory and policy), is co-author of a recently published article, “The story of women immigrants from FSU and their integration into Israeli academia” in British Journal of Sociology in Education.
- Erica Frankenberg, professor of educational leadership and demography, co-authored an essay in “Integration and Equity 2.0: New and Reinvigorated Approaches to School Integration,” a series of essays published by the American Institutes for Research (AIR).
- Allison Goldstein, assistant coordinator of online programs and associate teaching professor of education (higher education), is co-author of an article, “This Is(n't) What I Signed Up For” in OJDLA.
- Kevin Kinser, head of the Department of Education Policy Studies and professor and senior scientist of education, is quoted in an article, “Inside HLC’s new effort to vet outside credential providers” in Higher Ed Dive.
- Wilson Okello, assistant professor of education (higher education) and research associate for the Center for the Study of Higher Education, will be presented with the Association for the Study of Higher Education (ASHE) 2023 Early Career Award on Nov. 17 in Minneapolis.
- Carlomagno Panlilio, associate professor of education (educational psychology), is co-author of a new article, “Identifying what works for whom: Implementation outcomes following iLookOut, a child abuse identification and referral training program” in Journal of Clinical and Translational Science.
- David Passmore, distinguished professor emeritus of education, is quoted in an article in the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, “Hotter than expected jobs report signals strong economy.”
- William Rothwell, distinguished professor of education (workforce education), was named to the International Adult and Continuing Education Hall of Fame on Oct. 3. Election to the Hall of Fame acknowledges that these individuals have made distinguished contributions to the field of adult and continuing education.
- Mark Threeton, professor of workforce education and associate director of the Professional Personnel Development Center for Career and Technical Education, was interviewed for an episode of Centre County Report.
