UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — The College of Engineering Bernard M. Gordon Learning Factory showcases for the fall 2021 semester took place on Dec. 7, 2021, in person and from Dec. 10 to 17, 2021, virtually. Engineering students from the senior capstone design courses in biomedical engineering, computer engineering, computer science, electrical engineering, engineering design, industrial engineering, materials science and mechanical engineering presented the culmination of their semester-long projects at the events.
Students completed the projects, intended to present solutions for real-world engineering problems and design challenges, for their senior capstone design courses. The projects were sponsored by nearly 60 groups in academia, industry and government.
Two teams received the first place Best Project Award:

“Sustainable Use of Reclaimed Fiber Product from Recycled Paper Manufacturing” for Team Ten LLC by Neal Desai, Brandon Wehbey and Youngsuk Youn, advised by Allen Kimel, associate teaching professor of materials science and engineering
