UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa — Academic advisers, faculty and higher education professionals are invited to attend the 24th Penn State Conference on Academic Advising, scheduled for Sept. 16 and 18.
Hosted by Penn State’s Division of Undergraduate Studies in collaboration with the Office of Undergraduate Education, the University Advising Council, and “The Mentor: Innovative Scholarship on Academic Advising,” the conference will be available in both in-person and virtual formats. The in-person event on Sept. 16 will be held at The Penn Stater Hotel and Conference Center, State College, and the virtual will be held Sept. 18.
Registration is open now. The cost to attend both the virtual and in-person events is $145 per person. The cost for the virtual conference only is $30. The registration and cancellation deadlines are Sept. 8.
The conference serves as a platform for professionals to share research and best practices in academic advising. As the needs of students evolve and higher education faces new challenges, advisers are encouraged to reflect on their approaches and explore innovative strategies to enhance the advising experience.
Scholars and practitioners are invited to submit conference proposals highlighting innovative research and practices in academic advising. The deadline for proposal submissions is Friday, May 30. More information on proposal submission can be found at dus.psu.edu.
