UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Penn State faculty and staff now have access to the Microsoft MyAnalytics tool as part of the Office 365 suite.
The program provides insight into two of the most important factors in personal productivity: How you spend your time and who you spend it with. It aggregates information collected from other Microsoft applications you use — such as Outlook email and calendar and Teams — to capture your day in a glance.
This information can assist users in setting goals and identifying opportunities to free up time.
MyAnalytics includes both a dashboard users can reference at any time and a weekly email digest. Additionally, it can provide artificial intelligence-supported inline suggestions in Outlook that can help users communicate more efficiently.
MyAnalytics data is only available to individual users. It is not available to users' peers or supervisors and is not designed to enable employee tracking, evaluation and monitoring. Only individual users have the option to view personalized information or take advantage of the dashboard or any suggestions provided by the program.
Users can choose to opt out of MyAnalytics completely or from individual features. Steps to do so can be found in Microsoft’s Frequently asked questions for MyAnalytics.
