UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa.-- The University Staff Advisory Council’s (USAC) Outreach Committee is planning three community engagement meetings for the 2023-2024 academic year. The purpose of these meetings is to meet with local staff advisory council members, gain a greater understanding of the campuses, and hear about staff successes and challenges. Staff at campus locations that do not currently have a staff advisory council but are still interested in engaging with USAC are also welcome to attend.

The first meeting, for the central region campuses, will be held on November 2 at the College of Medicine, in Hershey, Pennsylvania. USAC invites staff advisory council members from the Penn State Harrisburg, Mont Alto, York and University Park campuses, as well as staff advisory council members from Pennsylvania College of Technology, Dickinson Law and the College of Medicine to attend. Staff members who plan to attend are asked to register online.

The second meeting, for the east region campuses, will be held in March (date TBD) at Penn State Lehigh Valley. Staff advisory council members Penn State Abington, Berks, Brandywine, Great Valley, Hazelton, Lehigh Valley, Schuylkill, Scranton and Wilkes-Barre will be invited to attend. Staff members who plan to attend are asked to register online.

The third meeting, for the west region campuses, will be held in June (date TBD) at Penn State Beaver. Staff advisory council members from Penn State Altoona, Beaver, Behrend, DuBois, Fayette, Greater Allegheny, New Kensington and Shenango, will be invited to attend. Staff members who plan to attend are asked to register online.

In addition to these community engagement meetings, USAC will host its annual summit in the spring, as an opportunity to bring staff advisory council members from all councils across the commonwealth together for a day of learning and networking. More information, including date and details will be available later this year.

USAC comprises a diverse group of 30 representatives from across the commonwealth who welcome multiple perspectives, celebrate and appreciate differences, and unite around common goals. To learn more about the council, visit the USAC website and follow USAC on Instagram, Facebook, Yammer and LinkedIn.
