USAC presents ‘Hidden gems of the University Libraries’ seminar

The University Staff Advisory Council (USAC) invites all Penn State staff to an upcoming seminar titled ‘USAC Presents: Hidden gems of the University Libraries’ on Thursday, Jan. 19 at 10 a.m.

In this virtual program, Bonnie Imler, Head Librarian at Penn State Altoona and Penn State DuBois, will present an overview of what the University Libraries has to offer. With a Penn State ID, staff members can download streaming video of popular movies, e-books of best-selling titles, and audiobooks to listen to while traveling. Staff can also browse the latest edition of hobby-based magazines, search for their roots roots with free ancestry records, and look up relatives' accomplishments in newspapers archives — among other offerings.

Find out where to search for all these things and which key apps staff should consider downloading to their phone during this virtual program on Jan. 19. Interested staff members can register online through the Penn State Learning Resource Network.
