All new and returning graduate students invited to Aug. 22 welcome reception

Event to kick off the 100-year anniversary of graduate education at Penn State

Editor's note: Due to anticipated rain, the Graduate School's welcome reception has been moved from Chambers Lawn to Alumni Hall in the HUB-Robeson Center. 

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — The Graduate School at Penn State is hosting a welcome reception for all new and returning graduate students at the University Park campus to celebrate the first day of the fall 2022 semester. The event will be held from 1-4 p.m. Monday, Aug. 22, in Alumni Hall in the HUB-Robeson Center.

“This year marks the 100-year anniversary of graduate education at Penn State, and we are excited to kick off the centennial celebration by welcoming all graduate students to campus,” said Sarah Ades, associate dean for graduate student affairs.

All graduate students are invited to attend this event to connect with fellow students, meet representatives from offices across campus that offer resources and services for graduate students, and to meet the Graduate School team. Graduate faculty and program staff also are invited to attend and join the celebration.
