CIRTL spring programming now open to Penn State students and faculty

Registration open to Penn State graduate students, postdoctoral fellows, and faculty

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Registration for all spring programing with the Center for the Integration of Research, Teaching and Learning (CIRTL) is now open to Penn State graduate students, postdoctoral fellows, and faculty.

The CIRTL Network offers a wide array of courses, workshops, and events primarily targeted to graduate students and postdocs but open to faculty as well on topics ranging from inclusive teaching to navigating mentoring and advising relationships. The mission of CIRTL is to enhance excellence in undergraduate education through the development of a national faculty committed to implementing and advancing effective teaching practices for diverse learners as part of successful and varied professional careers.

Penn State University is a member of the CIRTL Network, which allows members of the Penn State community access to priority registration for programming with limited enrollment, in addition to the other programming that is offered.

These upcoming programs include courses, massive open online courses, or MOOCs, workshops, events, and presentations. Penn State is currently among 43 universities in the United States and Canada in the CIRTL Network, a learning community of diverse research universities mutually engaged in the deliberate, systematic, and reflective use of research methods to develop and implement teaching practices that advance learning. The Graduate School at Penn State is also working with the Schreyer Institute for Teaching Excellence to build CIRTL programs unique to Penn State for the future.
