UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – Penn State doctoral alumni celebrating the 10th, 25th, and 50th anniversary of receiving their doctorate were recognized during an anniversary ceremony at the Graduate School’s Doctoral Alumni Recognition Luncheon on March 26.

Honorees in attendance included 18 Penn Staters who earned their doctoral degrees in 1972. They merit special distinction as they join nearly 4,000 Penn State doctoral alumni who have achieved the 50th anniversary of their doctoral degree since the founding of the Graduate School in 1922.

The achievements of these doctoral alumni are an enduring testament to the power of a Penn State graduate education. They continue to serve as an inspiration to current graduate scholars and the entire Penn State community.
