Nominations open for 2024 Graduate School alumni awards

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — The Graduate School at Penn State is now accepting nominations for the 2024 graduate alumni recognition awards. Members of the University community are invited to nominate qualified alumni for an award. The 2024 awards program includes the Early Career Award, Lifetime Achievement Award and Humanitarian Award.

Nominations are due Oct. 10 and must be submitted online.

Recipients will be honored at the Graduate School Alumni Recognition Dinner on Saturday, March 23, 2024, at the Penn Stater Conference Center. Descriptions of the awards can be found below, with more information available on past recipients on the Graduate School website.

Alumni Recognition Awards

  • The Early Career Award recognizes graduate alumni who have demonstrated exceptional success in their chosen field. Two awards are presented: one to a master’s degree graduate and one to a doctoral degree graduate. Alumni who earned their graduate degree from Penn State within 10 years preceding the nomination deadline are eligible for consideration. 
  • The Humanitarian Award recognizes Graduate School alumni who have made a positive societal impact on the welfare of humankind through service to their local, national, or international community. Alumni who received their graduate degree from Penn State more than 10 years prior to the nomination deadline are eligible for consideration. 
  • The Lifetime Achievement Award recognizes graduate alumni who have achieved exceptional success in their profession and have demonstrated loyalty to the University and the Penn State Alumni Association. Penn State alumni who hold a master’s or doctoral degree are eligible for consideration.
