Students, community invited to attend 2023 Graduate Exhibition

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Members of the Penn State and Centre County communities are invited to attend the 2023 Graduate Exhibition, an annual showcase of graduate student research and creative scholarship from across the University. The exhibition will include a performance night on March 20, a poster session on March 24, a visual arts exhibit open from March 18 through April 1, and online videos viewable March 20-24.  

The Graduate Exhibition is an opportunity for students and community members to learn about new types of research and scholarship, build professional connections and support Penn State graduate students. All exhibition events are free and open to the public, and no tickets are required.   

Visual Arts exhibit

March 18-April 1 — HUB Gallery, HUB-Robeson Center 
 
Fifteen graduate students will be showcasing a wide range of pieces, including photographs, paintings, sculptures, interactive experiences and more. The visual arts gallery is located in the HUB Gallery of the HUB-Robeson Center, and artwork will be on display from March 18 through April 1.  

Performance night

7–9 p.m., Monday, March 20 — The Recital Hall and livestreamed 

Twenty-eight students from the School of Music will perform 12 musical pieces in a range of genres, including jazz, classical and more. Each student will describe the importance of their work before performing. The event will also be livestreamed at this link.   

Poster session

Friday, March 24, 1–4 p.m.  — Alumni Hall, HUB-Robeson Center 

Over the three-hour time period, 167 graduate students will be presenting their research, design, art and other academic pursuits to the public. Students and community members attending will have the opportunity to speak with the graduate students and view their work to learn more about a variety of academic interests.
